The orchestra is incorporated as a 501c3 Not-For-Profit corporation. All donations are tax deductible. The orchestra incurs a number of costs to present the concerts throughout the year. These include the conductor’s salary, rental of performance halls, insurance, music and other incidental expenses. To cover these costs the orchestra relies on three sources, dues from members, external funding sources such as grants and donations. Dues: All orchestra members pay $160.00 dollars per year to participate in the orchestra. Additional members from the same family pay only $80.00 per year. Dues constitute approximately one-half of the annual income of the orchestra. Grants: The orchestra has been very successful in securing grants from several Florida cultural arts programs. These include: Donations: Alachua County Youth Orchestra operates on dues, sale of CD’s and T-shirts, and the generosity of parents and the community. We have expanded our options for giving and we can now take stock transfers as well as monetary donations. To discuss or make a donation to the orchestra please contact Roger Swanger, Treasurer and Chair of the Finance and Grants Committee at RogerS@jmco.com. Donations can also be sent directly to:
ACYO would like to acknowledge and thank Mrs. Catherine Gramatzki for her generous donations to the Orchestra this past year. |
